| Customer Reviews: Wonderful DVD! Great work outs. July 2, 2009 M. Walton (Tillamook, OR) Like the moves, easy to follow. Perfect for those times when I can't fit in a longer work out. I alternate between this one and Praise Moves for some variety.
not your typical exercise DVD May 30, 2009 Charlyn R. Woolley (Germantown, MD) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was excited to try Praise Moves since I so enjoyed the few yoga workouts I had tried but disliked the new age talking during the routines. Often I would put on christian music to mask the message they were giving.
Laurette's attitude and demeanor are inspiring; why not worship the Lord while working out? I am a beginner, and I was pleased that several of the postures pushed my limits.
HOWEVER, I give this only 4 stars becauase during the pose routines there is no talking and no music!! The video quality is very '90's. I wish they had at least talked you through the moves. I find it annoying to have to look at the screen to see if they have changed positions. Although I appreciate the opportunity to play whatever worship or inspiring sound track I choose... I just wasn't expecting to have to assemble that myself.. usually that is part of the package.
Regardless.. I got a good workout, my heart was focused Lord-ward, and I'm sure once I learn the routine, I'll enjoy not having my meditative thoughts interrupted by "now streeeetch!" So I'm looking on the bright side.. :)
invigorating and relaxing all in one March 14, 2009 Beatrice Dick (France) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am pleased to see that I feel great after every exercise because they are explained so clearly for whatever your physical condition. These exercises will only help your body and spirit, and you will even enjoy doing them!
Best stretching DVD that I could find that isn't a yoga DVD December 12, 2008 Saluki Fan 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Because of my personal convictions about yoga and its origins in eastern religions I wanted to stay away from yoga dvds.
Pros:the stretches are really good and they only take 20 minutes. I agree with the beliefs of this DVD that it isn't good for Christians to practice any type of yoga.
Cons: The names of the stretches are a little cheesy (i.e. Mount Zion, Standing Cross). Feels a little bit like Christian propaganda (I'm not sure why they did this b/c everyone who orders this is probably a Christian)
