Product Description Why just fly when you can soar with soul! an all-star cast takes to the skies in this madcap mile-high comedy about a tricked out airline complete with sexy stewardesses a mack casino & the hottest dance club at 30000 feet. Studio: Tcfhe/mgm Release Date: 01/06/2009 Starring: Tom Arnold Kevin Hart Run time: 103 minutes Rating: R
Amazon.com The raunchy slapstick comedy Soul Plane touches down on DVD in an unrated "Mile High Edition" that adds five minutes of more outrageous material that should appeal to fans who queued up for this urban take on Airplane! Kevin Hart stars a young man who becomes the head of the first all-black airline after winning a major lawsuit. Complications arise during the maiden voyage courtesy of a chemically impeded pilot (Snoop Dogg), a misplaced white family (led by Tom Arnold), and Hart's scheming cousin (Method Man). Snoop, Method, Arnold, and Missi Pyle are the most amusing in the game cast, but too frequently, any attempt to pull Soul Plane out of a scatological tailspin is undone by music-video helmer Jessy Torero's unfocused direction. Still, the gags come fast and furious, so for there's undoubtedly something to laugh at amidst the bathroom and ethnic jibes. --Paul Gaita

People Take a Chill November 8, 2008 Dr. F. Friedrich Kling (Woodstock, Illinois USA) I found the movie to be funny as hell with superb performances by a variety of outstanding character actors.
Souless September 3, 2008 Creeva Soul Plane. I can't say it's a great movie. It's really a bad movie that I found mildly amusing. I only purchased this because I got it used for 2.50 from the record exchange. This was one of those movies that I got because we made fun it of it for being one of the worst ideas for a movie. There was something from the trailer that I kept repeating to my friends, so when I saw it at the store at a cheap price I had to snag it.
It was something that may appeal to teenagers more then someone older then 22. Normal teenage American Pie stoneresque movie, I can't say I've outgrown those types of movies. I loved Superbad, however watching this was painful and uninteresting.
At best, this is piss poor! August 8, 2008 DJ Come of Age (Kaiserslautern, Germany) For all their talents, it's really sad to see these actors in a film such as this. Guess great movie roles are far and few in between. Enough to sell your soul to act in an ignorant production like this one. "Soul Plane" is the dumbest, the worst piece of trash I have ever seen. Like many others I didn't watch the whole movie. The first few minutes embarrassed me. At best, it's piss poor comedy that perpetuates terrible sterotypes upon just about everyone.
worst comedy ever!!!!!! March 15, 2008 Sebastian Sanjurjo (Miami FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've seen a lot of comedies and none have been as bad as this one. Everything about it is bad. Form the black stereotypes to the lame sex jokes. Not one line in this whole freaking movie is funny. The acting is bad; there is not one joke that doesn't avoid commenting on racial stereotypes. Simply put it's a comedy but it's not funny
The film deals with a man who starts his on airline after being stuck in a toilet seat in commercial airliner. He sues the airline company, and wins 100,000 million. With the money he creates the airline. This airline is centered for African Americans. And that's the main problem with the picture, it stereotypes how African Americans talk and act. The creators of the picture thought that it was funny to put all the common things we think about African Americans and stick in to the film. Now you may think that the movie is offensive, but it isn't, its just plane stupid and unfunny. How whites, Hispanics ,homosexuals, and even teenage girls act. once again its a comedy, but its not funny.
MY PERSONAL RATING: 0 OUT OF 5
Excellent Comedy!!! December 6, 2007 Maxxy Cup (Chicago, Illinois United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I laugh throughout this movie. What a cast of characters. I thought the acting was great! Tom Arnold, Snoop Dogg, Monique and all the actors were great. Hilarious storyline. Listen, sit back and enjoy it!
