5 out of 5 stars He knows your fears.   October 15, 2008
B. Singer (New Jersey)
Nightmare 3. Probably one of the best sequels to date. This is the movie where Freddy started using kids fears, ambitions, and hobbies against them. One of the best scenes is probably Phillips marionette walk. Still to this day grosses me out!

Also, a legendary line was coined in this movie. "Welcome To Primetime Bitch!". Which has been used for years and years since it's release.

This also sees the return of Nancy and introduction of Kristen. Heather Langenkamp and Patricia Arquette did an amazing acting job together. The pace of this movie is just right. And, in my opinion, has one of the best endings in any Nightmare movie!

4 out of 5 stars 3rd Time's a Charm!!!   September 4, 2008
Jigsaw (Kentucky)
Freddy's 3rd is better than the 2nd, because he is in it more, and Nancy is back! Nancy helps teens with their nightmares at Westin Hills. Kristen has the power to bring people into her dreams. She gets help from Nancy, Joey, Kincaid, and others. Dr. Neil Gordon tries to help by burrying Freddy in holy ground and splashing his bones with holy water. This one hints about how Freddy came to be. (You find out more about that in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child') This is also kind of sad because Nancy dies toward the end. If you love the Freddy series, hopefully, you'll love A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS!!!

4 out of 5 stars A Return to Form   May 25, 2008
Christopher R. Whetsell (La Mirada, California)
After the weaksauce story of ANOES 2, Craven decided to write the screenplay for the next installment in series, which was a very good call. Dream Warriors is the continuation of the story of the original Nightmare, and it carries it on very well.

Nancy returns in Dream Warriors as a doctor who is studying dreams, and she is brought into Westin Hills to help a group of troubled teens who have weird dreams. ANOES 3 features a good cast (including, a young Laurence Fishburn), and the characters work well together.

Overall, I enjoyed ANOES 3 much more than the 2nd part.

4 out of 5 stars great   April 27, 2008

this movie was great better than part2. This was'nt the best nightmare on elmstreet movie but it was great.

4 out of 5 stars Should have ended here. 3.5 stars to me   April 1, 2008
THE MAIN MAN (Central Bookin', NY)
10 out of 10 found this review helpful

This to me is by far the best of the sequels. And to tell the truth... That's not saying a damn thing when you look at how lackluster the sequels are. Freddy officially became horrors "Ace Ventura" in this one.

Now, the movie is definitly entertaining but innovation and the return of familiar faces is the key here. The new main character Christian(Patricia Arquette) has the ability to pull people into her dreams. This new addition adds a great deal to the movies plot. Nancy(Heather Langenkamp) returns older to offer her experiance dealing with Freddy.

Freddy was pretty good in this one as the dark tormentor. But I feel his oneliners could have been limited. The creative deaths and dream sequences were well done. The "Dream Warriors" concept was used very well. Giving these teens a fighting chance against Freddy in his world. I really did enjoy this. The acting was pretty well done but some of the cast were clearly rough around the edges. The ending was a great way to cap this off and it should have ended here.

The biggest problem is that it's not scary at all but it's not a waste of time. NOES 3 was a really good sequel. I didn't like anything else the same after this one. Along with the original, these two I watch the most. The last batch and part two has just been rotting in my collection until now.
