Bye Bye dark Freddy October 15, 2008 B. Singer (New Jersey) Well, Nightmare 2 gets a bad rap from a lot of Nightmare fans. A lot of it having to do with the gay undertones (Coach Schneider...well you know what he was planning on doing when he took Jesse to the school). But besides that, I give this movie props because it is definetly the last time we see Freddy being dark and scary. I started out not liking this movie. Then I started watching it more and more and realized that they did a really good job with it.
Another problem some fans have is the pool scene. And in all honesty, I'm not thrilled about it either. They should have established Freddy as being a killer in dreams more before taking him out into the real world. In my opinion, they rushed that idea a little too quickly.
Made No Sense # 2 September 30, 2008 A. Mansfield (Pennsylvania, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like the 1st one I didnt think this one made a whole lot of sense either. I actually think this one made less sense than the 1st one. Like I said in my reviw for the 1st movie if your not familiar with these movies please rent first.
'FREDDY'S REVENGE'!!! September 2, 2008 Jigsaw (Kentucky) It has been five years since Nancy killed Freddy. Now, a new kid lives where Nancy lived. Jesse and his girlfriend, Lisa find Nancy's diary that talks about who Freddy is and how she killed him. Soon, Freddy is back and he needs Jesse's body to kill people again. Can Lisa stop Freddy and save Jesse? I thought Freddy at the pool party was pretty cool, and Freddy showing his brain to Jesse. If you love Freddy, you might like A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE!!!
Nightmare falls flat on this sequel. June 20, 2008 B. Nallick (Mpls, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Expectations were high for this sequel to the much praised first movie. I'm afraid this is where the series went right down the toilet. Sorry Freddy loyalists there were only two decent movies in the entire series. The original and part three. This one just has the usual bad acting, bad script, bad fx, pretty much bad everything. Freddy's knives are in need of some sharpening.
Nightmare on Elm St. 2 June 19, 2008 Mark Lancing (San Antonio,TX) I thought it was a great slasher sequal. No one get the job done quiete like Freddy does.
