Far Superior to the Lindsay Lohan re-do. August 23, 2008 Jane Gala (Centennial Co) I can't count the number of times I have watched this movie, that my children have begged to watch it, or the times we have laughed at scenes that we knew were coming up. This is a great movie for the whole family, and does not have all the snot-nosed attitude that the newer version has. Haley Mills is adorable, and does a superb job as both daughters in this version. Brian Keith, and Maureen O'Hara are wonderful as her parents as well. Add this one to your classics collection. You will not be disappointed.
The Parent Trap & Parent Trap II July 26, 2008 Lee A. Ammons (Utah) I thought the combination movies were excellent. I saw the original Parent Trap II years ago and loved it. It was even better now. It is a movie that the whole family can watch and enjoy together.
Great Family Movie July 12, 2008 Audit Queen (Knoxville, TN) I have watched this movie close to a hundred times and I still enjoy watching.
Nice classic family movie May 19, 2008 Sound Doctrine (Seattle, WA) Classic family movie --- as long as kids understand children are only smarter than parents in the movies. The underlying themse of 'kids are smart and parents are stupid' and the impact that has had on society is why I gave this movie three stars instead of five. Children need to show respect for parents / adults and movies like this undermines the respect that children should be giving to their elders. None the less, it is an acceptable family movie in times of few choices for the family.
The second movie of the collection is a waste of time and I am sorry I purchased this set instead of just the classic movie (I thought the second one was the "double trouble edition" which IS worth watching - I ended up buying that one as a separate purchase)
One of my wife's favorite movies! April 7, 2008 Jay Herder (Louisburg, KS USA) My wife loves this movie... and as always the original is much better than the remake.
