Description
Henninger Productions presents Blue Angels: A Year In The Life, a four part series that follows the lives of the Navy's elite flight demonstration team, from starting as "newbies," to the end of the air show season, all shot in High Definition video. Each year as new pilots are selected, they must endure a long and arduous process of training, studying, and team building, taking pilots to their physical and mental limits. But it is all worth it the day they are "crested" and recite the Angels' creed, knowing soon they will take off to perform the most extreme and exhilarating air performance in the world.
Each episode follows the team as it prepares for its upcoming Summer 2004 season. We watch as nervous new applicants wait to hear whether they have made the team, and see the heartbreak of those who did not. We jump into the cockpit with the team as they spend the winter constantly practicing the awe-inspiring tricks that will dazzle audiences. And we follow them through show season and witness the aerobatic stunts they have worked so long and hard to perfect, ending the series as the new batch of recruits join the team.

ok ,i bought this video because i really loves aircrafts, but the documentary is not really intersting, and i just saw the blue angels flying in this video like 8 min,i;m sorry but i sent back this product the very next day, besides, the bonus material never works, i tried in my pc, laptop and my dvd,but nothing.sorry..

This, in my personal opinion, is absolutely the best documentary I've ever seen thus far. Everything from the way it was directed, camera angles, narration, background music used and the members of the '04 Blue Angels, made this worth watching over and over. I'm honestly very happy that I bought this product. I never knew what goes on behind the scenes, just how someone becomes a Blue Angel and how it is like to be a Blue Angel, but this DVD answered all my questions and more. I particularly liked one of the Blue Angels, Dan Shipley, his attitude and how he handled things. The Blue Angels: A Year In The Life, should definitely be in the collection of anyone who is a Blue Angels fan and is inspired by them!

For anyone who likes to know what goes on 'behind the scenes' this is a fascinating video. Everyone knows what the Blue Angels air shows look like, but this video shows you how they pick the pilots, how they train, and what it takes to put on such marvelous shows. It is too bad that the rating system only has 5 stars. This video scores MUCH higher then just 5.

I recommend this 2 series DVD to anyone who is a Blue Angels fan. I recieved autographs from several pilots, including one viewed in "A Year in a Life," and it really made him come to life. This documentary views the Blue Angels in a totally diffrent light as if you were sharing thier experience. It is definetly a must see.
