4 out of 5 stars Cutting Edge Story and Effects   November 17, 2008
James J. Liden (Chicago, Illinois)
I marvel at what is done with this film trilogy!!!

One of a kind...

5 out of 5 stars Definitely the Ultimate   November 17, 2008
Eric R. Franco (Whittier, CA USA)
I give this product 5 stars for one main reason, it is truly the "Ultimate" Matrix collection. I come from the standpoint of being a tremendous fan of the first movie - The Matrix - and somewhat disappointed with the last two with first viewing. In all honesty, the second two movies will never live up to the first, but they are enjoyable on their own merits.

For those wondering about the quality of the Blu-Ray conversion, I can only express complete praise for the picture quality. All three theatrical releases and the Animatrix are now in full 1080p, and if I didn't know better I would swear that the films were all shot using the most advanced technology available today.

The packaging is definitely commensurate with the cost of the product, and the inclusion of the first Matrix in a digital copy is a nice bonus (be aware, however, that it is only the first Matrix you are getting in a digital copy).

Overall the product lives up to its name and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

5 out of 5 stars The way the Matrix movies were intended to be seen   November 17, 2008
Cesar Andrade (Santiago, Chile)
In glorious HD transfer, the Matrix movies take a new life.
If you have a blu-ray player, get them!
You won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT MOVIE TRILOGY   November 4, 2008
Stephen Bigler (HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA.)
WONDERFULLY RE-MASTERED FOR BLU-RAY...I HAD THE ORIGINAL BOUGHT SEPERATELY OVER THE YEARS, BUT JUST HAD TO HAVE ALL THREE TOGETHER IN BLU-RAY...IF YOU LIKE THIS KIND OF "STUFF", YOU'LL LOVE THE BLU-RAY VERSION, ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE EXTRAS...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

5 out of 5 stars Stunning   October 31, 2008

I have been waiting for this trilig, and its everything i expected!!! Picture is stunning, but the real magic is in the sound....who knew 5.1 could get better, then it did, and what better than this movie to show it off. Unreal. If you dont have a surround sound set, dont bother, just get the DVDs cuz your not really experiencing bluray....

Ah yes, and for those dumb enough to say you can make a DVD that is 480 lines of resolution even compare to 1080 lines by 'up-converting' it, your an idiot....yes your right, the screen does display a 1080p resolution of a 480 picture, but its still 480, and nothing is changing that, the DVD cant make extra pixels, you cant make data that isnt there....hahaha its like saying "dont get xbox cuz nintendo will look better because its being upconverted" hahahaha ppl are so dumb....while it may improve the clarity slightly, its only noticeable on the large scale anyway(50"+ tvs) Also, DVDs dont have TrueHD (full uncompressed lossless sound)
